We look forward to meeting you!

What Makes You Laugh?

What makes you laugh?

“In all of living, have much fun and laughter. Life is to be enjoyed not just endured”
When was the last time you smiled, really smiled, or laughed so hard your tummy muscles ached and your laugh became silent, or tears came uncontrollably out of your eyes.
Has someone ever accused you of: SNAUGHLING. What’s that? Laughing so hard you snort, then laugh because you snorted, then snort because you laughed.
It’s real easy to become so focused on agendas, circumstances, or just meeting commitments that life becomes way too serious and laughter and fun become a distant memory. We do smile and laugh but not often enough – the saying, “all work and no play – makes Jack or Jill a dull person!!” – Is too real in so many people’s lives.

Draw a line, take time out, it’s time to lighten up and take a break from life’s serious side, look around, study people, it won’t be long before you begin to smile or even laugh. People are hilarious to watch.

I read a quote recently;

“In all of living, have much fun and laughter. Life is to be enjoyed not just endured.” by Gordon Hinckley, and another, “Always find a reason to laugh. It may not add years to your life but will surely add life to your years.” – unknown.

Did you know that God is the creator of laughter!
It says so in Psalm 2:4 (NIV), “The One enthroned in Heaven laughs. “
Our God is a God filled with joy, smiling and laughing, and He provides us with every opportunity to rejoice in our circumstances. “It is He who puts laughter in our mouths and in our hearts for our own good. In Philippians 4:4, He reminds us to “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say, rejoice.” This is because God knows that our lives are more abundantly blessed and fruitful when we are saturated with His joy, enthusiasm and hope.

The joy that laughter brings is unlike any other emotion that God has instilled within us, because just a simple laugh, even for a moment, is a feeling that will last a lifetime.
Have you found a reason to laugh today?
