We look forward to meeting you!

MY IDENTITY IN JESUS

Perfect-note

I am. . .

Loved I have loved you with an everlasting love. I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. (Jeremiah 31:3)

A Child of God See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! (1 John 3:1)

Delighted in The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves; He will take great delight in you; in His love He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing (Zephaniah 3:17)

Forgiven He himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and love for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed. (1 Peter 2:24)

Washed Clean   ….though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are read as crimson, they shall be like wool. (Isaiah 1:18)

Free   It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1)

A Temple of the Holy Spirit   Do you not know that that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own. (1 Corinthians 6:19)

Adopted into God’s Family   So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when He adopted you as His own children.
Now we call Him, “Abba, Father”. (Romans 8:15)

Co-heir with Christ   Since we are His children, we are His heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. . . (Romans 8:17)

Righteous   He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

New   If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

A Saint  . . .you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of God. (1 Corinthians 6:11)

Set apart   You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people. . . (1 Peter 2:9)

An ambassador of Christ   We are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making His appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” (2 Corinthians 5:20)

A Co-Labourer   We are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. (1 Corinthians 3:9)

A sweet aroma   We are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are perishing. (2 Corinthians2:15)

Never alone   The Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you. . . (Deuteronomy 3:8)

A Masterpiece   We are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long age. (Ephesians 2:10)

Wonderfully Made   I am fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14)

Bold   Since we have such a hope, we are very bold. (2 Corinthians 3:12)

Guaranteed Victory   . . .despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. (Romans 8:37)

Holding a secured future   For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah29:11)

Our Identity is either found in Christ or found in the judgement of people in this world.  As a born-again child of God we are no longer hindered by peoples opinion, for our identity is in Christ.
Romans 12:2 says, “do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. . .” To see ourselves as God see us, we need to speak His Word out loud, over and over again.

I know it works, for from the time I asked Jesus into my life I was encouraged to do this. I have grown from an insecure, nervous, heavy hearted, struggling girl to a girl who now is secure, confident, bold, light hearted because of my new found identity in a God who loves me unconditionally. There is hope for all of us. I encourage you to begin to speak the above scriptures over yourself every day and I am sure you too will begin to grow in your new life in Christ.
