Its Monday. . .stop! How did you say that?
Filled with excited expectation, or filled with weightiness?
2 Timothy 1:7 says…”God has not given us a spirit of fear, but has given us a spirit of power, and of love and a calm, well balanced mind and discipline and self control.”
It may be that today we’ll have some ups, downs, and even roundabouts. It may be that you are feeling short one end, your smile not so bright, or perhaps its just another day. God never meant us to live like that. He promises that we may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance to the full, till it overflows.
However it all comes down to a choice. In Deuteronomy 28, God asked us to choose life or death? Fear is the destroyer of hope and life. But fear is only a lie, causing you to be less than God made you. Today is the day God has made, with you on His mind. This is your day to rise, to sparkle and shine with JOY. Be the kind of person who, when your feet hit the floor in the mornings, the devil groans saying, “Oh No, they’re up!”
You are an overcomer. You are the head not the tail, above and not beneath, in every situation you are facing. That is God’s promise. And if today is the day He has made just for you and me, lets fill ourselves with His promises and have a great day IN HIM!

Psalm 90:14 “Fill us in the morning with your love. We will sing for joy and be glad all our days.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18 “Be cheerful no matter what. Pray all the time. Be thankful and give thanks.”
Psalm 126:3 “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”
Psalm 40:2 “He has set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.”
Psalm 4:7 “You have filled my heart with greater joy.”
Psalm 28:7 “SING . .the Lord is my strength and my impenetrable shield. My heart trusts in, relies on, and confidently leans on him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song will I praise Him.”
There are so many more JOY-FILLED verses to encourage us.
My favourite: Job 8:21 “He has filled my mouth with laughter, and my lips shout with joy.”
