“Nothing ahead of you is bigger or stronger than the power of God behind you.”
The Scripture that goes with it says, “Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.”
(Ephesians 6:10)
This Scripture is powerful, it breathes new life, and hope into anyone who takes hold of it. It helps us to see that we can do the task ahead of us or we can stand strong through the opposition we are facing, for God is with us, and He promises that He will never leave us.
It’s up to us to be courageous and believe!
Do you believe that nothing is too hard for God, and that He is willing and more than able to help you?
In Beth Moore’s study on “Believe God” she wrote a 5 statement pledge of faith.
“God is who He says He is.
“God can do what He says He can do.
“I am who God says I am”
“I can do all things through Christ”
“His Word is alive and active in me”
“I BELIEVE GOD!”
This statement is powerful. We claim to believe in God but do we take His Word to heart?
For me, the most significant statement is “I am who God says I am”, but there are times I tend to rewrite it… ”I strive to be who God says I am”, but that’s not what the Word says. It says I’m already “who God says I am.” Ephesians 1:3-8, says we are “blessed, chosen, adopted, favoured, redeemed and forgiven.” God tends to purposely put us in situations that force us to face our insecurities because He wants to release us from the weight they put on us.
As we diligently speak His Word into our situations we won’t fall victim to trying to do life or accomplish life’s obstacles or in our own strength or ability. Instead, as we let the Holy Spirit lead and guide us through every step, He then is able to empower us to do all that God has called us to do and be. God tells us in Zechariah 4:6 that its; “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord.”
Many times the task ahead has seemed HUGE in my eyes… the expectation of others, my own ability, the resources being limited, but it’s when I come to my senses and declare that God has promised He will help me, for He can do what He says He can do, therefore I am not alone, and I can do all things through Christ, that’s when Holy Spirit empowers me to be able to accomplish the task ahead, and that feels so good!
God never gives us more than we can handle. He provides all that is needed for us to do the task He has given us to do.
Thomas Edison wrote, “Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.”
He also wrote, “I have not failed, I’ve just found 10,000 ways that it won’t work”
What task or situation are you about to face or are facing?
It never matters how often you fall short, it does matter if you give up.
