The Grandkids and I have collected so many items on our adventures (and you are never allowed to throw any away), that I needed to become creative. One of those no throw aways is the rocks we collected… enter “Mr. Google”, now my world explodes with ideas.
This is what we decided to do with a small portion of those rocks.
Have you ever made rock people? No… well here’s how.
You will need:
One large rock for the base
Several smaller rocks
Glue (hot glue works well, or super glue)
Paint
What to do:
Glue several small rocks on top of the large rock. Paint faces on the rock people. You could also paint grass and flowers around the bottom of the large rock if you wanted to.
We put a sign on ours – made from card and wooden skewer. Ours said, “We are building on Jesus the Rock!”
I love the creativity of this and how it uses rocks of so many sizes and shapes.
Imagine having this in your garden, the memories of times spent together.
Skip the rock band, and “make the ‘Rock’ family instead”!
