We look forward to meeting you!

Christmas Season

With the Christmas season here, we can all too easily become so task focused in making it that perfect time that without meaning too Jesus becomes less and the celebrations become greater.

Sometimes it’s just the small things that help us find Jesus during the Christmas season — a smile from a stranger, card from a loved one. Or simply taking a coffee break, in your favourite place, deliberately opening up your Bible to refresh, restore and remind yourself of the importance of focusing on the reason of Christmas Time and beyond.

I received an email recently encouraging me to keep focused and listed these 6 things to believe in at Christmas Time and Always!

Believe in Miracles:
Isaiah 9:6
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Believe in God’s Purposes:
Luke 4:18
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor…to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to set the oppressed free.”

Believe in Love, Grace and Hope:
John 3:16
“God so loved the world that He have His only Son, that whoever believes in Him Shall not perish but have everlasting life.”

Believe in Comfort:
Psalm 147:3
“He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds.”

Believe in Joy:
Nehemiah 8:10
“The joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Believe and earnestly seek Him:
Hebrews 11:6
“Anyone who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”

Instead of focusing on ourselves and those lists of tasks this Christmas, let’s remember God’s purposes and to clothe our hearts and minds with Christlikeness and believe each day for greater things. For God is our Light, our Hope and our Peace!

Colossians 3:12-14…
“Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.”
